β€œTell Me When To Go” Activation, Rolling Loud Bay Area

In 2019, Jocelyn toured with Rolling Loud across the nation. Jocelyn conceptualized, directed, produced, and managed the entirety of every interactive art installation, hiring assistance from her nationwide network pool of creatives. These activations were designed to not only cater to and entertain a 70,000+ attended festival but intentionally and positively influence attendees to learn, to play, to connect with themselves and others. Every install also extended and served as an additional rest area.

For the Bay Area, Jocelyn pulled inspiration from Bay Area culture. The car in the installation is inspired by the sideshows that were a large part of the hyphy movement and originated in Oakland. The flowers in the car were for an added touch of aesthetic and photo opp but the flowers are native to the Bay and were in season at the time. Jocelyn hired local, Oakland muralist Steven Anderson to paint E-40, as well as β€œThe City” and β€œThe Town”, as well as some turfing. In addition, attendees were encouraged to take pride in where they are from and expressed that through video and on the mural.
