You Are Made To Love

You are not hard to love.

And no,

this isn't some poem dedicated to a certain somebody.

I'm talking about you,

and you,

and you.

You are not hard to love.

Yes, I may not know you

but I do know you have purpose.

You are not hard to love.

Because anything made with life

is made with love

and darling your are full of it.

You are not hard to love.

Made from stardust,

a bundle full of energy,

who's frequency is currently in my space.

You are not hard to love.

Nothing would be the same

without your existence,

without the love you have in you to give.

You are not hard to love.

Because nobody is like you,

because you have a mind of your own,

and there is power behind your word,

creations to be made with your hands.

So remember,

you are not hard to love.

In fact, you were made to love.

We all are.

Sip Of Positivitea

The power behind social media can truly be a beautiful thing when you use it for the better good.

Technology now a days has given us the ability to maintain platforms to reach hundreds, sometimes even thousands of people we don't even know.

Allynn Taylor is one of those women who has taken advantage of this to not only spread her brand but spread positivity.

I stumbled upon her Instagram page through a previous JRecognize interviewee, Scorpio Mystique, and instantly knew that this woman was onto something wonderful!

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Allynn grew up aspiring to be a marine biologist after watching Free Willy (she admitted to me with slight laughter). She began as a Marine Science major at Hampton University in Virginia. Although, the program they offered didn't satisfy her focus.

In her freshman year of college, one of her cousins introduced a book titled "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, which discusses topics such as the law of attraction. Allynn was triggered to learn more about the subject and was inspired to become a life coach.

In 2012, Allynn graduated with a Psychology degree.

"I just tried to figure out what it is that I really want to do because I have been known to give advice to all my friends and associates," said Allynn, "I, also, love giving advice."

Upon graduating Hampton University, Allynn began doing something that has evolved into something amazing!

Starting with just five people, Allynn began to send motivational text messages every day with something as simple as "have a great day guys!"

"Then, it went from me sending a quote to getting a little more detailed. After I got a little more detailed, I said, 'Let me add some affirmations,'" explained Allynn.

Sending text messages was inspired by a friend of hers who would send her short quotes and Allynn was positively influenced by it. Her friend stopped sending her these quotes so Allynn decided to start doing it herself, adding her own philosophies of life and going more into depth.

Just a little over three years later, her base of people receiving her text messages grew to about 500 people. And yes, she still sends every motivational text individually everyday (which takes her over an hour, in case you were wondering). The most she'll go without sending a text is two days for reasons like the holidays or she is too occupied with work.

"It feels more intimate when you send it individually and sometimes I love it when people personally respond," she expressed, "So some people might want to respond but in a group text message you most likely won't feel as comfortable."

This immense growth of people wanting a burst of daily motivation from Allynn made her realize that she need to come up with a "cool and attractive and unique" name. Thus, Sip Of Positivitea came into fruition.

This positive and giving attitude did come from a not so kind past. Allynn honestly and bluntly described her past self as being a b*tch. Which we've all been there, done that (or continue to).

"I just wish during those times I had somebody there for me to uplift me and get me out of that.

"When we're bitching or being an a**h*le towards people it's because we're in a bad place at that time. Sometimes people just need reminders and, also, I've always been the motivating type just trying to cheer my friends up.

That’s what really motivates me to try to help motivate others. Because I just want all of us, at the end of the day, to be successful.
— Allynn Taylor

"I just hate seeing people sad or sitting there not making dreams and goals happen. That's what really motivates me to try to help motivate others. Because I just want all of us, at the end of the day, to be successful," said Allynn.

Not only did she enjoy giving others advice, she also desired to motivate others to be better.

On November 18, 2014, Allynn became a certified life coach through the Life Coach Institute.

"I really like [the Life Coach Institute] because when you hear life coach you think, 'This chick can't tell me about my life,' but it's nothing like that," she explained, "It's you coming to express some issues that you have in your life that you want to talk about and we can set up some goals for you to get where you want to go."

Allynn is in the midst of creating her own life coaching business and, eventually, would like to have her own talk show, similar to Oprah and Tyra Banks. She wants her guests and viewers to "walk away from [her] show learning something new or feeling motivated."

She currently hosts Goddess Parties, in which she has a gathering of people and has a guest speaker, they pray and meditate, as well as sip on mimosas and enjoy gourmet food cooked by one of her friends who is a chef. Allynn incorporates her life coaching and helps people recognize their fears and how to overcome them, along with guiding them on how to set short or long term goals.

"I get a kick from just seeing people have a good time," said Allynn.

For me, the way you discover your purpose is when you’re doing something and it really sparks a passion in your heart and soul. You just feel it.
— Allynn Taylor

"For me, the way you discover your purpose is when you're doing something and it really sparks a passion in your heart and soul. You just feel it. Not only do you feel it, but associates, strangers, people can see that grab and they can tell that you're passionate. They can tell this is you. You can tell it's your passion, this is your gift and it's what you're supposed to do. It just feels good all the time. And you, also, wouldn't mind doing it for free," said Allynn.

I wish I was in Atlanta for that! One mimosa, please.

"I just want to brand myself and kind of take a dip into a little bit of everything. You know us Scorpios, you just can't keep your foot in one thing. With Sip Of Positivitea, of course, I want my life coaching business under it... basically dabble in everything from selling tea and magazines, all kinds of stuff.

"I do plan to branch out into other things other than life coaching," said Allynn. But she didn't want to reveal too much because, well, the mystery and the anticipation is much more exciting!

From freeing Willy to motivating others, Allynn changes lives everyday by being someones (or should I say over 500 individuals) positive influence.

Can you imagine sending 500 individual text messages every single day? Obviously, Allynn Taylor loves what she does and those who are a part of her movement, definitely, love her back!

Biggest Lesson in Life:

"My biggest lesson is that life is not a race. Especially for us being in our twenties, it's just very confusing because now with social media it's very easy to compare yourself with others. You see other people achieving such goals or dreams or desires that you may have had or you just see them achieving the goals, the dreams or desires that they have had.

"Some peoples paths are clear cut. Some peoples paths are made to have patience and faith and you kind of have to struggle a little bit to get there but wither way, everybody has their own different path and everything that is supposed to happen to us is supposed to happen to us. It's just all about the right timing," said Allynn.

The Ideal Body

We now often find ourselves trusting the fate of our bodies in the hands of someone with an "ideal" body. With today's technology and endless opportunity, anybody can become a self-taught personal trainer, a self-taught chef and a self-taught business owner.

Instagram is filled with people who post healthy recipes, fit selfies, and life quotes (I'm guilty of all of this haha). And followers go on to trust everything they see.

It's easy to find people who love to eat healthy and are dedicated to hitting the gym. Healthy living is the new "thing". Nowadays, it seems more convenient to turn to these people for answers than having to pay for a certified trainer or a gym membership.

We see someone who has a "perfect" body and trust that he or she knows what is best for us. When in reality, you know better about what is best for you than anyone else ever will.

Think about it. We all have different body types, different eating habits, and different genetics. Just because you're following the same routine as this person with this "perfect" body does not mean that you are going to get the same results. Does the person truly know how to adjust what he or she is teaching you according to what is best for your body type, your habits? Are they taking YOU into consideration?

Cooking and baking has always been a passion of mine. I started stirring things up in the kitchen the moment I picked up a spoon. Creating a healthy diet was through personal sensitivities towards many foods. I was never an athlete nor was I ever really a gym rat up until I entered college. Four years later, I have experimented with many different exercising routines and workouts. I learned a lot and I love sharing what I know with others.

Now that I am sometimes seen as this "self taught person" on Instagram (and I wouldn't say self taught because I learned a lot from others) I always say... I can help you learn the basic do's and don'ts of working out, I can show you my exercise routines, I can teach you how to cook healthy alternatives (and even improvising with what's currently in your pantry), I can help you figure out some sort of schedule where you can make time to make these adjustments but I always make it clear that I am no professional, neither are many other people on the internet. I can only help you as far as my knowledge lets me and your efforts take you. I will not make myself to be someone who can transform you.

I don't know your body as well as you do. Nobody does.

Too often I see people desperate for results or change that they trust others with their health.

My biggest advice is listen to your body. Your body lets you know when it's hurting. It lets you know when it doesn't welcome a certain food or movement. Your body cares for and loves you. It loves you so much it eventually starts adjusting itself for you and you can note these changes. Love your body in return! Listen to what it's telling you and act on it.

Your body is already perfect as it is because it was made to suit YOU. Your body understands you, it knows what is good and what is bad for you. No other body would be able to cater to you like your own. Understanding this makes you recognize that you really shouldn't want someone else's body.

Never would middle school or high school me imagine me say this but... I love my body! I've come to learn that it is like no other. It is constantly adjusting itself for me. My body will never be like that "perfect" woman's body on Instagram but mine is just as worthy of love, confidence and care. After years of self criticism and comparison, I have come to realize that all along I already had the perfect body because it is mine.

You see, you already have your ideal body because it is yours! You just have to discover it.
