Stay Hungry, Stay Connected Influencer Dinner with BOCA Tacos y Tequila
Monday evening I hosted an influencer dinner at local restaurant BOCA Tacos y Tequila alongside the Chef/Owner Maria Mazon. Hosting a unique influencer dinner is something I have wanted to do for a long while now and I am so happy to have finally accomplished the first of many!
I am involved in so many different pockets of this city and I wanted to pull influencers from each pocket and have them share a seat at the table with one another. Diversity was one of my biggest priorities in curating this dinner.
The first dinner of the Stay Hungry, Stay Connected dinner series hosted the Mayor of Tucson, hosted individuals in marketing, blogging, tech, events, non-profit, maker, art, music, photography, and other prominent industries of the community. It was so awesome to see all that were in attendance in one space.
A handful of guests were humbled and a tad bit surprised that they were invited to the dinner because it had the word "influencer" tied to it but for me... I wanted this dinner to exemplify what I believe the word "influencer" truly encompasses. I think the stigma behind the word influencer is a millennial with over 20K IG followers. In my opinion, we are all influencers. We influence the people around us on a daily basis, and depending on your field of work, some have a greater influence on their surroundings than others.
The people at this dinner were all leaders in their field of work. And all of them met someone new. So it was pretty awesome!
The beautiful floral design was sponsored by a local maker/brand called Palm & Pine Design Co. owned by Kalyn Caballero. I am so grateful to have had her eye and talent as a part of the visual experience.
At the bottom of this post you can check out the official menu of the evening! I am looking forward to the next.
